Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” -John 11:25-26
In week six of "Come & See: Considering the Radical Claims of Jesus of Nazareth" we see Jesus stand face to face with death and make the claim that He is "The Resurrection and the Life" who can save us from death and give us eternal life (John 11:25-26). How do you deal with death? Most people tend to respond to death through distortion, distraction, denial, determinism, or despair, but Jesus claims to be able to defeat death. Even further, Jesus claims that if you follow and unite yourself to Him, He can give you victory over death as well. In verse 26, Jesus asked one question to Martha and He asks the same question to us: "Do you believe this?"
